We are all qualified. If your church doesn't need your particular skill set - pray about it and find a place that needs you and where you can be used. Each of us has a job to do and we need to be actively working. I heard from a dear friend today who asked to minister to others in his church. He had a very willing spirit and didn't want anything in exchange. No one was interested enough to help him grow. Don't let others steal your joy! Don't let others hold you back! Let God rule your life and don't listen to those who try to curb your desire.
Spending time with family today renewed my tranquility. Seeing the joy on my daughter's face as we play is priceless, and talking...really communicating with my son today brought me such joy. I know not everyone has that so I treasure these special moments all the more. Today is a day that I will treasure and hold dear. When I am old, it will give me a pleasant memory to ease with the changes. When my husband looked at me and said, "it makes me happy when you smile", I understood. He is at peace when I am. A happy household is something that cannot be bought. It has to be worked at, proven, and cherished. May our lives continue to have peace and happiness.
This week has been one of the most challenging in some time. At work there were numerous projects due and not enough time or assistance to do it to the best of our ability. At times it seemed I was running on pure adrenaline. I've also been dealing with guilt. We've been attending a church for some time but not growing as much as we should. Attending a friend's church was a last minute decision one Sunday - and we loved the fervancy, excitement, and genuineness of the church. The church we now belong to has just a handful of members and I hate letting them down by not being there. I know it's more important that our family attend a church where we can grow and feel the Holy Spirit - but concern that our former church family is floundering and looking for the church to grow makes me sad. If only our former church would join with the church very close to it, I think both churches would prosper. Tired - yes, and probably no...
